He came to a tree and saw a crow sitting on a branch with a piece of meat in its mouth. The fox was so greedy that his mouth was watering. 狐狸停下来想，“那只乌鸦有一块美味的肉，我要想个办法得到它。”狐狸开始琢磨着如何拿走乌鸦的肉。 Húli tíng xià lái xiăng, "nà zhī wūyā yŏu yí kuài měiwèi de ròu, wŏ yào xiăng gè bànfă dédào tā." Húli kāishǐ zuómo zhe rúhé názŏu wūyā de ròu. He stopped and started to think, "That crow has a piece of delicious meat. I wonder if there is a way I can get it." Characters: 三 国 时 代 ， 魏 国 有 个 叫 卢 毓 的 人 ， 很 小 的 时 候 就 失 去 了 父 母 和 两 个 哥 哥 。 卢 毓 从 此 辛 苦 工 作 ， 除 了 照 顾 哥 哥 们 的 家 人 外 ， 自 己 还 努 力 读 书 ， 受 到 大 家 的 赞 许 。 后 来 ， 卢 毓 做 了 官 ， 仍 然 勤 恳 工 作 ， 经 常 给 皇 帝 提 出 好 建 议 ， 得 到 皇 帝 的 信 任 。 那 时 候 ， 朝 廷 选 拔 官 吏 ， 一 般 都 是 由 有 名 望 的 人 推 荐 ， 而 推 荐 的 人 ， 一 般 又 只 在 有 名 望 的 人 里 考 虑 。 其 实 ， 好 多 有 名 望 的 人 只 是 嘴 上 能 说 ， 并 不 会 干 实 际 的 事 ， 因 此 ， 皇 帝 很 不 满 。 有 一 天 ， 皇 帝 准 备 选 拔 一 个 有 才 能 的 人 ， 并 要 卢 毓 推 荐 ， 还 说 选 择 人 才 不 能 光 找 有 名 声 的 人 ， 名 声 只 不 过 是 画 出 来 的 一 张 饼 ， 只 能 看 ， 不 能 吃 的 。 后 来 ， 人 们 就 用 这 个 成 语 比 喻 自 己 安 慰 自 己 ， 不 能 解 决 实 际 问 题 的 方 法 。
English Translation
Lu Yu lived in the Kingdom of Wei during the Three Kingdoms periods. He was orphaned at the age of ten. So he undertook the task of supporting his sister-in-law and nephew through a period of extreme hardship. Meanwhile, he also studied hard. He was praised all around for his noble deeds and depth of knowledge. Later he became an official and still worked hard and put forth valuable advice to the emperor, so the emperor placed great trust in him. At that time, the selection process of government officials depended on the recommendation of powerful and influential men. These men would always recommend famous persons who were all mouth and no action which displeased the emperor. One time, the emperor asked Lu Yu to recommend an official and said to him: "the selection of government officials should not rely solely on one's fame which is just like a cake drawn on the ground, while it may be good to look at it does not satisfy one's hunger." This story gave rise to the idiom "draw a cake to satisfy hunger". Now it is used to describe someone who uses fantasy to satisfy oneself and means that empty reputation is of no practical value.

Your action is just like drawing a cake to satisfy hunger, which has no practical effect.

下雪啦，下雪啦！
Xiàxuě la, xiàxuě la!

雪地里来了一群小画家。
Xuědìlǐ láile yì qún xiǎohuàjiā.
A group of young painters came to snowfield.
小鸡画竹叶，小狗画梅花，小鸭画枫叶， 小马画月牙。
Xiǎojī huà zhúyè, xiǎogǒu huà méihuā, xiǎoyā huà fēngyè, xiǎomǎ huà yuèyá.

Búyòng yánliào bú yòng bǐ, jǐ bù jiù chéng yì fú huà.
You don’ t need to use a pen to paint, just a few footprints to make a picture.

Qīngwā wèishénme méi cānjiā? Tā zài dòng lǐ shuìzháo la!
